Office of the CEO and Executive Vice President, Product Development
Mahesh Ram has over 20 years of senior management experience with leading technology companies. Prior to joining GlobalEnglish, he held a variety of senior management positions with The Thomson Corporation, including Chief Technology Officer of Thomson Learning/AlignMark, a leading web-based learning and assessment company serving corporate and education customers. Mr. Ram received a B.S. in biology and a B.A. in American history from the University of Pennsylvania and the Advanced Information Technology Management (AITM) Certificate from Columbia University.
Office of the CEO and Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Tom Kahl is responsible for global sales, support, and sales operations. Prior to joining GlobalEnglish, he spent seven years with SmartForce (now Skillsoft), serving in various management positions, including Vice President of EMEA with responsibility for sales, support, marketing, and operations. Mr. Kahl received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Vice President, Marketing
Heidi Lorenzen has over 20 years of experience in all facets of strategic global marketing. Prior to GlobalEnglish, she was VP of Marketing for Autonomy following its acquisition of Interwoven, where she was VP of Corporate and International Marketing. Previously, Ms. Lorenzen held several senior marketing roles in both the U.S. and Singapore at Polycom, including VP of Corporate Marketing. Early in her career Ms. Lorenzen served nearly 8 years in Business Week’s strategic marketing group. Ms. Lorenzen received her BA in East Asian Studies from Middlebury College, and holds an MBA in International Strategy from New York University’s Stern School of Business and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
